Missing...

GTO is spending a few days with his JoJo (my mom) at the lake. He has only been gone for two days, and I already feel empty without my boy. The anxiety is kicking in and by Friday, I will be a wreck. It happens every year. Everyone has always told me that is gets easier as the kids get older, but it hasn't. In fact, I think the separation anxiety has become worse. My mom tried talking me into letting GiGi go with her as well, but I stood firm and said, no way! I can't be without both my babies at once. That might call for some medication. :) I wonder how long I can keep GiGi from going to the lake too. She didn't really seem to mind that she wasn't going, but she stood at the door and cried for her Bubba as he drove off. Sadly, I think I have passed down my separation anxiety to her. Wish us luck. Only two more days to go.

It helped that I got this sweet e-mail from GTO yesterday. He always knows just the right things to say.

Hey Mama,
What's up?
This is your little boy speaking to you.
I am having fun at the lake.
I am fixing to eat French Toast.
I hope you are having fun with GiGi and Daddy.
I miss you really bad.
I hope you miss me, too.
I hope you will send me a note back.
Tell daddy that soccer is probably going to be canceled because I looked on weather bug and it said rain will come.

Love,
Your son GTO

For those of you from other parts of the world - "Fixing to" does not mean he is going to fix the French Toast. Did I ever mention that I graduated with a b/a in English. I think my boy may need a grammar lesson. HA! And to top it off, GTO speaks with a southern drawl. It is quite funny. I don't think he got that from me. *wink*

Can't you feel the sweetness pouring out of that adorable soul of his?

I am taking the next few days off work/blogging/photography to wallow in my separation anxiety. Be back on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Sweet boy! And just as gorgeous as Miss Gigi.

Don't be sad, have a glass of wine. When my kids are away with grandparents, I always try to rejoice and remember that they are with people that love them just as much as I do!!!! Just keep repeating that and you will be fine.

But I understand....do you want me to mail you some Zoloft?

I don't think it gets any easier either. I'm very happy to have them visit someone else for a day but longer than that and I miss them terribly.
Just keep enjoying your quality one on one time with Gigi. Take care.

Ha-Ha! I noticed the "fixing to" immediately. At least he did not write fixin.
You will be fine, big girl. It just takes time - see he is having fun.

OOHHH!!! He just gets sweeter and cuter! Is that possible? I can definietly see his sweetness shining through. What a sweet email. Emily just saw his pic and thinks he is cute! Are they far enough removed to be betrothed? We could arrange a marriage. Although, I don't think your separation anxiety can handle that. I am sorry if I just made you overmedicate yourself! HEHEHEHEHEHE! Miss you Girl and those sweet babies too! They are still babies no matter how old they get!

Oh Bec, I feel for you, mine are lots older and I feel the same as you do when they are not with me. Your GTO has got to be the sweetest little man I have ever know. It shines thru his smile and will be there always. Want to just swoop in and take him home with me. But then you really would have seperation anxiety with me being so far off. His Grandparents enjoy him and Gigi as much as you do, tk you for sharing him with them, I know how much it means to them. You will make it till weekend,, Gigi will make sure of it. Hugs my friend.
