  I have set a goal this summer to photograph my kids more...I hope you don't get sick of seeing their sweet faces!  I not only want to photograph them more, but I want to attempt more stylized shoots that I haven't had time for in the past.  It's fun to set up a scene for sessions (a lot of work, but fun nonethelesss)!!!

My Yard/My Second Hobby

I have been working hard in the yard this spring.  I love to get my camera out to capture all the different blooms.  It helps me to document what I have planted.  I seem to forget what is planted in each bed when the following planting season rolls around.  

I was looking back at my pictures from last spring and realized that I haven't seen this gorgeous bloom this year...I guess the horrible heat killed it off last year.  BUMMER!

 I have a severe LOVE/HATE for Irises.  I love the blooms, but they are too invasive and will take over the entire yard.

I added two Peony bushes this year.  I can't wait to take pictures of pink peonies next year!

How Sweet

Continuing baby week,  I thought I would post one of our newly hatched spring babies, complete with a funky mohawk!  We had a pair of finches nest in a candle holder on our porch.  We named the female DaFinchy, and she provided us with lots of entertainment this spring.  GiGi was thrilled to have baby birds to admire every day. They grew up fast and soon flew away.  We thought we were going to be empty nesters for the remainder of the year, but we noticed this morning that we have another bird trying to nest.  Oh what fun!

I think it's officially going to be baby week on my blog.  I have had so many adorable babies in front of my camera.  I have some serious catching up to do!

Another "ONE"

This is one of my favorite pictures from the indoor season.  He is SO beautiful!  Those big eyes absolutely melt me!

This is another of my sweet babies who I photographed for his first year!  It is so bittersweet for me.  I love seeing them change and grow, but it happens so darn fast!

Let's Backtrack, shall we?

Back around Easter time, I took this little bunny's picture.  Isn't she ADORABLE!  

This is Miss Ashlyn.  I have been taking her picture since she was a tiny newborn.  She just turned one, and I was so happy to capture her pictures for the first year!  

I'm Back!....maybe.

WOW, it's been a long time since I have been here.  I was just thinking about how much I dislike change, and I have had so much change in my life lately.  I thought that getting back to something that I love like blogging would help my spirits, so I logged onto to my familiar site only to find out that I don't know how to blog anymore, and that Google has changed the entire process.  Have I mentioned that I don't like change?  It has taken me hours to figure this new process out, and I don't even know if this will post correctly.

Thank you for all the e-mails and your concern about my disappearance.  The company where I happily worked for 12+ years sold which forced me into a new job.  It has been very stressful, but I am trying to stay positive and be glad that I have a good job in this economy.   

I have lots of catching up to do around here.  Honestly, I don't even know where I left off, so I will share one of my favorite little subjects.  Miss GiGi is getting so big!  I have ALWAYS wanted bluebonnet pictures, but have never been able to travel to Texas during the spring, bluebonnet season.  I was super excited to find bluebonnets about 10 miles from our house.
