I seriously had a major meltdown at the mall when I was birthday shopping for GiGi. I am not a mall shopper...I usually only make it to the mall once per year, and that is to go to Baby Gap to do a little birthday shopping for GiGi each year. This year, I went prancing into Baby Gap only to realize how small the clothes looked. GiGi is wearing a size 6 and I realized I had to go to the Gap Kids store. Are you kidding me? No more pretty Baby Gap dresses??? If you know GiGi, you know she WAS a chubby baby and toddler; therefore, her wardrobe has always consisted of 99% dresses. This year she has really slimmed up, but that still didn't prepare me for buying skinny cords, and cute little tops. She looks so grown up, and she definitely knew it when she was working it for her birthday pictures.
I usually don't shoot black and white. I hate to lose the beautiful color composition with outdoor pictures, but since we shot these inside, I do like the simple black and white shots.
