Printing

I was chatting with a fellow photographer friend yesterday, and she shared with me that she is horrible about printing and displaying pictures of her own children. I was giving her grief about the studio portraits that she has hanging in her house from three years ago. I encouraged her to print some new ones. The truth is, I AM JUST AS BAD about printing myself. We have lived in our house for ONE YEAR, and I have not hung one picture upstairs. Our walls upstairs are still fairly bare. Not only that, but I have a beautiful 11 x 14 print of my children that has been sitting on my desk for the past 6 months, because I can't find a frame that I like. By the time I find a frame, the picture will now be outdated. I am still good about updating my photo ledges with new board prints about every three months, but that is about as far as I get. I am very indecisive when it comes to finalizing decisions. I have all these great ideas in my head, but never get anything finalized, so I end up doing nothing at all. I wish I could hire someone to pick prints for me and decorate my walls. Any takers?

I'm telling you, I have at least four 8x10's sitting on my desk RIGHT NOW that need frames. I just can't decide if I want to do modern black frame with a matted photo or if I want to do some fun, funky, non-matching frames that all look good together! Why is this so hard?

If I were you I would have a hard time choosing too. You always have such gorgeous pictures of your children.
I tend to veer in the opposite direction and have ALL of my pictures printed. At the very least I get 100 pictures printed a month. I have stacks and stacks of albums that I keep them in and the ones I really like I get blown up. My kids tease me and call our hallway the museum because it has so many pictures in it. I know it's a considered tacky by a lot of people when it comes to decorating but I don't care, it makes me happy.

Completely awful about printing photos. I have pictures up of my boys from 3 1/2 years ago and thats pretty much it. I would love to make a huge collage and know which wall to use. Which photos and which frames, gah.
