SillySprouts

If anyone is interested in the two below outfits that GiGi is wearing, click here OR here to get all the details. I have worked with SillySprouts for a couple of years, and am simply amazed by Suzanne's work. She is a very talented children's clothing designer. If you would like to see more of her wonderful creations, click here.

A TRUE PERFORMER

I had to share this funny story. When a boat would pass by the dock, GiGi would start to do her version of a hula dance. She would only do the dance when a boat would go by, and then she would stop. There was one boat that kept coming by multiple times to see her. The guy driving would put his arms out and hula with her all the way out of the cove. It was hysterical!

She calls him Lamby...

While we were at the lake, GiGi received the below stuffed lamb from a friend. She instantly became very attached to her "lamby". She has slept with it every night.

Thank you Suzanne for sending Lamby to us!

Last Day of Kindergarten...

It is so hard for me to comprehend, but he is officially a first grader. Where has the time gone? Each year seems to pass faster and faster. I am so proud of everything that he accomplished this year.

TUTU CUTE...

Because every little girl needs a pink tutu to swim in the lake...

Memorial Day Weekend

In a few short hours, we will be traveling South to the lake! I am so excited to pull the boat out for the first time, and to spend the entire weekend having fun with the kids. This is their favorite place to be!
The below pictures were taken last year on Memorial Day weekend.
I believe those short, chubby legs have grown a lot this year. :)

Wishing everyone a safe and fun-filled weekend!

Today is a gift...

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And Today? Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present.

Seven Wonders...

There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million.

The Final Dance of the Season...

GiGi completed her first dance recital today. She did a great job, and I was so proud of her. I am hoping to link the video of her dances to my blog in the coming days. I was debating on putting her in dance class in the fall. I was really leaning towards Gymnastics, but after seeing her dance today, I think she is destined to be a performer. You could really tell how much she enjoyed being on stage and performing her own moves. It really suits her personality.

FINALLY...

We FINALLY have warm weather here. It was perfect weather to enjoy a cool treat!

Surviving the weekend...

I am happy to report that I have survived the weekend garage sale that I had with my mom. It was exhausting, but well worth it to get rid of all the junk. We even had this helper in the afternoon. She was quite pleased with her new look.
This little girl is quite the story teller, and has always been good at making things up. After we got home from the garage sale, she came into the room where I was to tell me this:
"I don't live here at this house. My mommy just dropped me off because I am really sick. I have the chicken pox."
I asked her, "What is your Mommy's name?'
GiGi replied, "Her name is Druva."
This is the drama that we face every day at our house!

Recital Rehearsal...

I guess I need to accept the fact that GiGi will not be a dancer. She is moving straight to choreography! She has some very creative moves of her own!

SIBLINGS...

BROTHER TO SISTER,
SISTER TO BROTHER,
I WILL LOVE AND PROTECT YOU...
LIKE NO OTHER!!!

THE BOND OF COUSINS...

I was so happy that "The Diva" (my niece) came to spend the night with us last night. It was so much fun to watch the girls play together.

It's the kind of closeness you cannot measure
It's a love that should be treasured forever.
People will always come and go
But with a special cousin
A great friendship grows.

I love this GIRL!
(Shan - there might be a demand for marshmallows at your house now. LOL!)
A few more pics of the girls...

Happy Mother's Day

Motherhood is an experience that opens your eyes and your heart to exactly how magnificent and amazing the gift of life is.

It is a gift, that when I hold my children and breath them in, I am not just grateful for them, but thankful for all their tomorrows.
(Sheye Rosemeyer)

Happy Mother's Day to the woman who brought me into this amazing world. I love you, JoMama. Thanks for ALL that you do for us! Happy Mother's Day to the woman that I was fortunate to gain as a mother. Leslie Ann, you are wonderul to me. Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and family who have shared with me in the journey of motherhood. Wishing all of you a great day ahead.

Early Mother's Day Present...Take Two

Princess GiGi came home from school with her Mother's Day gift, and of course she wanted me to open it early as well.
Her teachers asked her several questions about Mommy and then transferred the answers to this beautiful card.

The hand plant must be a popular gift this year. It is funny that the kids don't even go to the same school, but I received almost the same exact gift from each of them.

Thank you my sweet princess!
