I still like the color photo better.

Black and White

I used to love black and white photography...that is, until I got my DSLR camera and now I can't get enough of the bright colors. I think it has something to do with my kids bright, blue eyes. I love capturing their vibrant eye color. Recently, I went to a friend's house, who is a great photographer, and she had a few black and white photos of her kids enlarged on her wall which has inspired me to start trying out black and white on a few photos. I haven't captured any that I am competely satisfied with, but I am still giving it an effort.

Anyone else tired?

It's been a long and very busy weekend. There are a couple of tired kids in this household AND A TIRED MOMMY. Friday night we had date night with the kids. I took GTO to dinner with a friend of his, and Hubby took Miss GiGi to dinner at her favorite pink castle and out for ice cream sundaes. On Saturday, I hosted a baby shower, and then Saturday evening, Hubby and I had a couple's shower/party to attend. The kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa (Thank you M-I-L!), so we traveled to pick them up on Sunday and spent a few hours enjoying the nice day outside. GTO (finally) learned to ride a bike in the grass which was exciting. Now, it is time for reading and bed which is already calling my name. :)

Dear GiGi,

Oh, how I love when you crawl in bed with us in the middle of the night. You know I could never send you back to your own bed. I love how you scoot underneath me and snuggle all night, BUT tonight Mommy would like a good night's sleep without your sharp little feet digging in her back. Okay? Deal?

On a brighter note...

I am feeling much brighter (and better) today.

Feeling a little grey...

We had a cool front come through last night which must have brought some nasty allergins. I am feeling like I could scratch my eyes out and I have sneezed a zillion times this morning. It is not turning out to be a very productive day at work.

On another note, I must have been feeling like eating some warm weather food, because I mixed up my two favorite dishes and put them in the fridge last night. When we get home tonight and tomorrow night, they will be ready to throw in the oven and dinner will be served. That makes me happy!

Missing her...

The sight of you...

is as necessary for me as is the sun for the flowers.

I am missing my girl today. Of course, I miss her every single day, but today there is an extra tug at my heart making me want to leave work to go get her. It is going to be a long day.

BOO!

GiGi was more interested in picking pecans than posing for pictures. It was like a big Easter Egg hunt for her until she got stung by a Yellow Jacket. OUCH! It was a little traumatic for the both of us, but she got over it fast. I thought I would go ahead and share these since the lighting and color is so pretty. Have a great weekend! P.S. #1 ranked USC lost to Oregon State last night. YIPPEE!
