And I'll share it with my Bubba.

GTO decided he wanted to run track this season. I don't think he knew he was signing up for Cross Country, but he is doing really good at it. He completed his first one mile cross country meet today, and we are so proud of him. They group all the kids together...1st through 6th grade. He knew he would be the youngest, most inexperienced in the race, but he didn't care and ran his little heart out. He was happy that he didn't come in last place and we were just happy to see him finish a one mile race. He has three more track meets this season, so hopefully his time will improve with each race.
When the coach fired the gun to start the race, you would have thought GTO had been shot. He jumped out of his skin and froze. It took him a few seconds to actually start the race.
The officer returned and said, Ma'am, you have a perfect driving record, so I am going to give you a warning, and by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Yes, he really said that! How nice!
P.S. DAD/Papa - If you are reading...Yes, perfect driving record...that is what the officer said! Unbelieveable, Right?
You bring so much happiness to my life. Your sweet, kind spirit makes me smile everyday! I am so proud of you. I love you, my sweet boy! Happy 6th birthday!!!
