Our weekend in the country...
I hope she doesn't ask Santa for a pony!!!
This child is my big animal lover. I think she would have liked to take baby horse, Ellie, home. The kids and I had a wonderful weekend spent with good friends. We roasted marshmallows to make smores, decorated pumpkins, played in the treehouse, rode 4-wheelers (powerwheels - not the real thing), took lots of pictures and ate lots of good food. A big thanks to Nana and Papa Chris for hosting a wonderful weekend for us.

Red River Shootout - OU vs. Texas
This is the weekend for the big game....The Red River Shootout. It is similar to a state holiday around here. Actually, I think it should be a state holiday. The family all walked out the door today in their OU gear, work will be quiet today, because just about everyone will be heading to Dallas for the game, and the weekend will be filled with lots of celebration as the Sooners defend their title. Fans will be piling into the Cotton Bowl to watch the No. 1 Sooners (5-0) meet the No. 5 Longhorns (5-0) in the 103rd rendition of the Red River Shootout. It marks the 31st time they've both been undefeated at kickoff, the 10th time they've both been ranked among the top five and 12th time one of them has entered with a No. 1 ranking. Let the GAME BEGIN!
Below are a few pictures of the kids in their OU gear from past seasons.

Feeling a little grey...
We had a cool front come through last night which must have brought some nasty allergins. I am feeling like I could scratch my eyes out and I have sneezed a zillion times this morning. It is not turning out to be a very productive day at work.
On another note, I must have been feeling like eating some warm weather food, because I mixed up my two favorite dishes and put them in the fridge last night. When we get home tonight and tomorrow night, they will be ready to throw in the oven and dinner will be served. That makes me happy!

OCTOBER IS HERE
Have I told you that I LOVE HALLOWEEN??? I am sure you probably already guessed by seeing the posts of GiGi's Halloween attire that she will wear this month. I almost have the costumes completed for this year, but I am still waiting on a few items to arrive in the mail. I love when the kids' costumes coordinate, but it is getting harder and harder each year for them to agree on something. I know the time is coming when I won't get to coordinate the cotumes. :(

The BIG BAD WOLF and Little Red Riding Hood
GTO INSISTED on being Spongebob, and I must say his costume was pretty cool!
I didn't really want GiGi to dress as Patrick like GTO wanted, so she was a pink Leopard in 2006.
HALLOWEEN 2007 - The Wizard of OZ
Thankfully, I have a very talented MOM who helps me create these fantastic costumes.
STAY TUNED to see this years coordinating costumes!
