Check-Up

Last week was check-up week for GiGi. We went to the doctor for her 4 year old check-up. She weighs 44 lbs (95th percentile) and is 40 1/2 inches tall (75th percentile). She is such a big girl now!

Then, we visited Miss Susan at the dentist to get GiGi's pearly whites cleaned.

(Susan - aren't you glad you are on my blog now...LOL.)

What I learned most about GiGi last week is that she is getting very shy. She wouldn't talk to the pediatrician or Miss Susan and we know both of them very well. GiGi had never met a stranger until now and would talk to anyone who would listen. Now when she is in a unfamiliar environment, she gets shy and will just shake her head when asked a question. I hope this shyness does not come out when it is time to perform at the dance recital in a few short months.

Friday Ramblings

# 1 rambling - Next week is Valentines Day. I am always at a loss on what to get Hubby for V-Day, but not this year. I found these awesome shirts. Don't you think they are great? heehee :) Which one do you like?

Because every Hubby should support his wife's blog, right?

# 2 rambling - I have never been so disappointed and upset by a man that I have never met. That is all I will say about this.

# 3 rambling - Did anyone else notice the resemblance between the octuplet mom and...

Angelina Jolie??? Maybe the octuplet mom was just trying to "one up" Angie with one more child and ended up having 8 instead. :)

Fun Fact: Speaking of having lots of children, did you know that when Hubby and I did our pre-marriage counseling with the pastor that married us, we talked with him about wanting 6 children. Yep, you heard me right. I desperately wanted 6 children. So, why the drastic change, you ask??? (refer to picture below)

# 4 rambling - Tonight is date night for me and Hubby. We tried for a while to have date night once a month, but it was too hard on me. You see I experience SEVERE

separation anxiety
–noun
the normal fear and apprehension in later life caused by separation from GTO and GIGI.

And also...

panic attack
–noun
an intense attack of anxiety characterized by feelings of impending doom and trembling, sweating, pounding heart, and other physical symptoms when away from GTO and GiGi.

We are going to see an NBA game. While I am excited about seeing the game because I do love sports, I am more worried about the aforementioned feelings.

OH HOW I WILL MISS MY BABIES!

Wish me luck! And better yet, you might want to wish MWP luck because she will be blessed with two extra children tonight. Thanks Aunt Shan!

Spring Cleaning

I have started clearing out the over cluttered closet of Miss GiGi. It is time to start selling off last season's wardrobe. You may find the sale here. The below pictures are just a small sample of the outfits that will be included...there are so many more that will be up for sale in a few more days.

Don't worry, Lisa...I have saved a lot for you too! :)

And the winner is...

Thank you to everyone for all the sweet comments that you left on my post. I appreciated all of them. All of your names were put into GiGi's princess box...

And one name was randomly selected...(by GiGi of course)

And the winner is...

Doodlebelle - I hope this brightens your day. Please contact me through e-mail with your address and I will send you your prize. Thanks to everyone who participated in the GGF giveaway!
To ALL my readers: I believe everything happens for a reason. I had never heard of Doodlebelle when I started this giveaway, but briefly visited her site when she commented on my blog. When I set up this post after the drawing yesterday, I went to Doodlebelle's blog and it seems like she is having a rough time as her son is battling a brain tumor. Today, they are visiting Duke to find out if he needs to start chemo. Please, please visit her site to let her know you are thinking about her. I think words of encouragement/prayer from all of you would help.

WEEKEND GIVEAWAY

It is my anniversary. I have OFFICIALLY been blogging for one year! As a thank you to all of you who tune in every week, I am hosting my first blog giveaway. All you have to do is post a comment, with your first name or your blog name, and I will enter you into a drawing which will be held Monday evening. I will post the winners name on Tuesday morning and a package will soon arrive to the lucky winner's mailbox. Don't hesitate to enter...this will be fun!

As most of you know, I started this blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends and to post about my children's activities and fun filled days, but this blog has become so much more. I am so thankful to be sharing my family with all of you, and to receive feedback on ALL my photographs, but I also feel like I have made so many new friends most of who I have never met. I love that I have connected with so many wonderful people. It has been a great year and I look forward to many more.

I wanted to close by posting a few of my favorite photos from the year. Most of these have appeared on my blog before, but some have not. I hope to have many more to share in the coming months.

Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND and thank you for staying tuned to GreyGill Fish!

SNOW DAYS

You never know what you are going to find when you leave GiGi alone to entertain herself for a while. I walked into GTO's bedroom and she was putting on a show. I thought it was definitely camera worthy.

Baby Announcement

We are iced in at home. The kids have been out of school for two days, and I have cabin fever. Yesterday, I finally had to break away from playing Wii with the kids and do something creative which involved creating Gracie's birth announcement (with Hubby's help). I don't enjoy making cards. I usually leave that to MWP, or KJ. They enjoy doing it and are GREAT at it! I am not a wizard at photoshop like I would like to be, but HUBBY sure is. We usually don't work very good together on projects, because I am a CONTROL FREAK, (yes, I admitted it.) but yesterday we worked really great together and came up with this...
